The Lazy Girl’s Guide To Glowing Skin
Who doesn’t want that lit-from-within glow? But who has the time to apply a billion products every single day? If this sounds like you, then you’re in the right place! Whether you’re too busy to have an elaborate skincare routine or just don’t want to, then all you need are the right products and just a little bit of dedication. So here’s a fuss-free routine for you if you’re looking to cut down on skincare time but not on the glow!
1) Cleanse your skin thoroughly
Cleansing your skin properly is a crucial, non-negotiable step. It removes dirt, excess oil, pollutants and dead skin cells to reveal soft, fresh, glowing skin. If you’re not cleansing properly, you’re just inviting dullness, breakouts and early signs of aging.
Ideally, you should cleanse your face 2 times a day – no more and definitely no less. In the morning, use a light cleanser like the Chialeader Shine Control Gel Face Wash, which comes with an inbuilt brush which gently exfoliates the skin as well, so two birds with one stone! Just remember to use gentle pressure.
Remember – never ever, EVER go to bed with makeup still on! Use a micellar water for quick makeup removal. Or at night, to gently cleanse your skin and nourish it, all at the same time, use a cleansing balm like the Mon Cherry Dirt Dissolving Cleansing Balm that melts away all your makeup and dirt to reveal soft, soothed, glowing skin!
2) Treat your issues
If you have any active acne or dark spots, now is the time to give your skin some extra love! Follow up with the Mama Cica Zit Away Treatment Patches. Stick these zit patches on clean, dry skin and then follow your other skincare steps. If you don’t have any active acne (you lucky duck!), then move on to a light-weight moisturizing essence that’ll replenish your skin’s hydration levels. We are fans of the Mama Cica Intense Oil Control Essence that leaves your skin shine free yet radiant and supple
Follow up with a brightening serum like the Bravocado Intense Brightening Serum, which is packed with great ingredients like avocado, niacinamide and rice water. Use two pumps and smooth it over your skin and neck. Let it absorb completely before moving onto your next step.
3) Moisturize
Seal all your hardwork in by using a lightweight, non-greasy moisturizer. We love the Mon Cherry Ultra Light Moisturizer that has a unique gel-to-water texture and absorbs quickly! It contains some pretty cool ingredients like vitamin C, niacinamide and moringa seed oil. It nourishes, brightens and keeps the skin soft and supple! Spread it all over your face and neck and massage it in till it’s absorbed.
4) Protect your skin
No matter what, this is ONE step you should never ever miss! Harmful UV rays age your skin faster than any other. Use a high SPF, broad spectrum sunscreen to give your skin the protection it needs. Use a generous amount and massage it into your skin until absorbed. Apply it at least 20 minutes before stepping out!
5) Brighten your skin overnight
Once you’re done with the day’s skincare routine, apply a thin layer of the Mon Cherry Overnight Peeling Mask and go to bed. Your skin heals and recuperates while you sleep and an overnight mask provides it with a boost of hydration and nourishment. You will wake up with plump, glowing skin – the best lazy girl hack, ever!
6) Mist away
On days when you’re tired and want to give your skin a pick me up, use a refreshing mist to instantly brighten your skin while giving it some yummy benefits. The Mon Cherry Brightening Face Mist is enriched with cherry blossom, pearl, evening primrose and hyaluronic acid that revives dull skin and gives you a glowing complexion almost instantly!
7) Glow from the inside out
Apart from a consistent skincare routine, also take care of your skin from the inside. Drink at least 8 glasses of water and avoid oily, fried and processed food – yes, it does show on your skin! Include green, leafy veggies in your diet and limit smoking and alcohol intake. Thank us later!
So that’s the low down on how you can ace skincare on a time limit – or just being lazy. Try this routine and let us know if it helped!
