3 Simple Ways To Clear Out Pores

While pores allow our skin to breathe and stay healthy, large pores are especially annoying. It’s true that you can’t erase or eliminate your pores, but you can shrink them by unclogging them and keeping them healthy. Well, below are a few things you can do to make pores look less noticeable.

What are clogged pores?

What are clogged pores

Pores are small openings on your skin that allow it to perspire. But, over time, they end up trapping dead skin cells, which clogs them up and causes acne and other skin issues. When this happens, the skincare products you apply simply sit on the surface layer instead of seeping in, thereby attracting more dirt and grime. The daily accumulation of dead skin cells and sweat along with pollution can lead to the clogging of pores. This turns into breakouts, blackheads and whiteheads. Here are a few more reasons why your clogs might be getting clogged.

  • When makeup is not cleansed thoroughly.
  • Over cleansing and exfoliating can strip the skin’s natural oils and cause the oil glands to produce even more oil, leading to clogged pores.
  • Not following a basic and easy skincare regime— cleansing, toning and moisturizing.

Three ways to clear clogged pores

Our pores get easily clogged due to excess sebum, sweat and pollution. Try these three simple ways to clear your clogged pores!

Step 1: Double cleanse your skin

double cleanseStart with an oil-based cleanser, our Mon Cherry Dirt Dissolving Cleansing Balm gently yet deeply cleanses your skin, whilst revitalizing and nourishing the pores. This creamy, gentle oil-based cleanser will melt away dirt and oil-based impurities such as sebum, sunscreen and long-wear makeup. Follow it up with the Mon Cherry Brightening Foam Cleanser which is lightweight and helps you to get rid of all last traces of dirt, and sunscreen. This foaming formula deeply cleanses pores without stripping the natural oils of your skin.

Step 2: Exfoliate & tone

exfoliate and toneInvesting in an exfoliator will help to get rid of all the dead skin cells trapped in your pores. Invest in our Mama Cica Instabright Peel Pads which deep cleanses the pores, corrects uneven skin tone and brightens your skin. These pre-soaked exfoliating pads are packed with glycolic acid that slough off dead skin cells. If you have larger pores on the nose, steam first and then use these pads to deeply exfoliate your skin and unclog the pores easily.

Follow it up with our Mama Cica Intense Oil Control Essence, which is a lightweight refreshing essence that balances sebum production, hydrates and controls acne. This rejuvenating formula further controls excess oil, clarifies pores and deep cleanses your skin.

Step 3: Draw out impurities with a clay mask

Bravocado Deep Cleansing Clay MaskClay mask is a god-sent for acne-prone and oily skin. One can get rid of extra sebum production with a nourishing clay mask that helps in removing impurities. Bravocado Deep Cleansing Clay Mask is a great solution as it’s formulated with the dual action of two gentle clays – kaolin and bentonite. It draws out impurities from your skin, controls breakouts and leaves skin blemish-free. This minty green clay mask causes less irritation and is quicker to wash off, hence you get soft and deeply nourished skin in just 10 mins!

Additional step: Ice helps in reducing pores

Ice or even cold water helps in tightening your pores. The pores don't shrink but applying ice to your face for about 15-20 seconds after cleansing can help in tightening the pores and protecting it. You can even make cubes with cucumber pulp and rose water as it helps in reducing the appearance of your enlarged pores.

Healthy pores = healthy skin. Follow the above-mentioned skincare regime, and we’re sure your skin is going to thank you!
