How This Unique Clay Sheet Mask Took Care Of My Skin Concerns
What Are Mud Sheet Masks?
They are exactly what they sound like – mud (clay) + sheet mask. Instead of the usual serum drenched sheet mask, here you will find a clay dipped, hydrating sheet mask. Where in, you reap the benefits of a clay mask and a sheet mask together. *mind blown*
Why You'll Love This Product?
So, if you thought oil control, and skin hydration was all this mud sheet mask did, then allow me to prove you wrong. The Quench Mama Cica Mud Dipping Sheet Mask is enriched with the goodness of kaolin clay, glycerine, cica, lotus root and Korean ginseng extracts and is specially developed to deliver a squeaky clean, brighter and softer-looking skin. It also has active ingredients like citric acid that tightens the pores, improves skin texture and leaves it looking oh-so-pretty. My skin totally agreed with these ingredients and gave me clear yet hydrated skin without any stretchy feel or dryness.
But what really made me fall in love, was the concept of clay and sheet masks shaking hands. The mud has a bit of a runny consistency, which nicely coats the sheet mask. It has a very mellow clay smell.
But wait, before I go all gaga over how it transformed my skin, let me tell you why my skin needed saving, and my skin type.
My Skin Type & Concerns
Skin Type: Oily, acne-prone, and dehydrated.
Concerns: Clogged pores, dry cheeks and oily t-zone.
Why I Loved This Mud-Dipping Sheet Mask?
First of all, sheet masks for me are quick sessions of self-care. I put them on, and go about with my life, while they tend to my skin’s needs. I like to store them in my fridge, so they feel nice and cool against my skin. I have this mud sheet mask on right now as I type, no kidding. Not because it is a review article, but honestly because I needed an excuse to put it on. So, let me shed light on why I am mildly obsessed with this skincare miracle.
I have a confused skin type. On some days, it behaves, on others, it’s oily during the day and parched at night. So, while regular clays made my skin feel a little stretchy, the sheet masks over-hydrate and make my skin too shiny. I could never find a perfectly balanced product that could cater to my dual-personality skin type. So, I’m guessing the skincare guardian blessed my skin with this one-of-a-kind mud sheet mask.
It feels like it is tailor-made to address my skin concerns. Oiliness? Gone. Dullness? Bye-Bye. Hydrated, plump, and brighter skin? Yes, sir!
Merely thinking – it’s a sheet mask, how can it do so much? – would be a rookie mistake. It too was taken aback when I used the sheet mask for the first time, ngl.
How Was My Experience:
It was a Sunday morning, and I had woken up with the agenda of pampering my skin that day. After a hearty breakfast, followed the application of this mask. I took it out from the fridge, tore open the packet, and loved what I saw inside. The perfect clay slurry. I took a little on my fingers just to smell and check the consistency. My fingers already felt buttery smooth, so I couldn’t wait to see what it did for my skin. Cut to the chase: I follow the instructions on the pack, turn on Netflix to watch my fav show, and wait for the mask to work its magic. (There was extra clay slurry that I put on my neck) After 20 minutes, the Mama Cica Mud Dipping Sheet mask semi-dried on my face, but my skin wasn’t stretchy or dry at all. I carefully removed the sheet, and washed off the clay residue on my face.
Even as I was washing, I felt a visible difference in the softness of my skin. I am not even joking when I say this – my face was considerably brighter, and it had a pore-less finish. It felt awake, and all the dullness was sucked out! I highly recommend you to use this at least once a week, or before an event to get your glow on. The results are surprising!
For me, this unique mud sheet mask really did live up to its claims, and I know I’ll be re-stocking on them super soon.
You really need to try it to believe it, and once you do, you’ll be hooked for good, just like me!
